About Elise

As an Emmy-Award winning television journalist, Elise Waller is taking on the next generation of the media industry.

Elise's video work, storytelling, and writing has been featured on multiple news networks including ABC, CNN and NewsNation/Nexstar.

Elise has worked in launching newsrooms to compete with the fast-paced digital era of news and entertainment. She's been the Executive Producer of several tv and digital shows — all from scratch with small budgets and big ideas.

She continues to coach young journalists leaving college and entering the workforce. With the emergence of artificial intelligence, Elise has worked closely with multiple news organizations to streamline storytelling in a way that's effective, fact-focused, and budget-friendly without compromising ethical values.

Elise has had the opportunity to work alongside several politicians throughout her career in strengthening community outreach in journalism.  She's advocated for changes in higher education to keep up with the tech evolution.

She started her career in multiple local newsrooms and bureaus before moving onto network producing. She credits her years spent in rural communities, learning about agriculture, farming, and funding deficits for re-sparking her interest, and ultimate push back into following politics. Elise has covered presidential campaigns, rallies, and policy travel, including that of President Obama and President Trump.  Elise has also worked as a freelance political videographer for gubernatorial campaigns.

Among all of her accolades, she has won four Emmys, several Associated Press Awards, and community philanthropic awards for her storytelling.

Outside of work, Elise is passionate about environmental health and conservation. She volunteers to fight plastic pollution and actively speaks out against policies harming civilian infrastructure, as well as clean water.

Elise's number one goal in life is to leave this planet in a healthy place for her son — whether through storytelling, or environmental work.
